Applying a new GPO to a computer

by =?Utf-8?B?R3Jhdnk=?= <Gravy@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Apr 25, 2008 at 01:05 AM

Hi,

I have installed WSUS on one of my Windows 2003 machines. I used GPMC to
create a new GPO that contains the settings for Windows Update I want to
apply to clients. However, I only want to apply this new GPO to certain
computers (actually ones that are in a certain Site). The only way I could

managed to do this was to create a new OU in my domain using GPMC, lets
call
it 'WSUS Computers' and then I MOVED the required computers names from the

<Domain>->Computers folder in to the new OU created!! The new OU is just
below the domain, for example <Domain>->WSUS Computers

Doing this seemed to apply the GPO correctly, but I'm not sure if this is
the right thing to do, ie. move a computer from the Computers folder in
GPMC.

Can anyone advise me?

Regards

Graham
