Domain access to non-domain machine

by =?Utf-8?B?bXdhbm4=?= <mwann@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Apr 14, 2008 at 01:11 PM

Hello,

I am trying to build a lab environment. I have Win2003 AD with "thin
clients" (Terminal Service) running over winXP Home machines. Since those
machines are NOT members of the Domain, a specific Domain Application
cannot
authenticate with the client machines using any domain user account. A
client local user is not recognized by the AD server and the App does not
authenticate with the client machine either.

I have already tried to use two accounts with the same login (domain\user
=
machine\user) and even though I can get access to the shared resources,
the
App cannot authenticate with the client.

Is there any way to “map” a domain user to a “client” (non-domain)
local user?

Thanks in advance
