Hi, I think that I am having a blond hair day.
here is the problem, I am trying to custom a MSI Package, to only install
Word 2003, and Outlook 2003.
I have created a share on my Software server, called off_word_outlook
the share has the default shares. I go to a my template machine, and ran
the
Wininstall, to get the first snapshot, then I go and install the word and
Outlook, and afters I ran the Winwinstall, to get the before shot.
after this, I sometimes geta error message saying that a tmp file was
missing, so I say ok.
then I open my Computers and Users program, and go to the OU whcih I want
to
test it on. and create a Policy.
in the Computers software package I point the new policy to
\\softwareserver\share\Win_word_out.msi
and in the user software package I point the policy to
\\softwareserver\share\admin tools\adminpak.msi
and when I go and check a test machine I find that the software is not
installed.
can anyone help me.
ps. I can install per package MSI files from Microsoft like Services
Packs.
