Mandatory profiles

by "addotta" <addotta@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Nov 2, 2006 at 12:34 PM

OK, Here we go. The environment that I work in has made it neccessary

to implement Mandatory profiles on our domain.

That's not so bad,

But Here's the Rub..the higher ups want to be able still allow the
users to change some things and keep the settings.

I.E. desktop settings, wallpaper, resolutions...etc. I suggested a
roaming profile, the answer was an emphatic NO!

They say that this had been done before without the use of third party
software and that this is the way that it was set up in another
company.

The way it breaks down is the registry settings for the users desktop
settings get ex****ted to the users .man at logoff.

Well folks...How is that supposed to work?
What Registry keys?
And How is it supposed ex****t to a read only file?

Is anyone familiar with this kind of setup?

Thanks in advance,
Addotta
