RDS on Windows 2003

I have to ****t a .dll running under RDS from a 2000 Server to a 2003
Server. 
I followed my steps from the last time I set it up on the 2000 Server, but

something's not quite right on the 2003 box. Just after I instantiate the 
object, I call a dummy function that simply returns True to test the
object. 
This line hangs for 30 secs or so, then returns an Automation Error 
-2147024664 something about a pipe is closing.

Anybody have any suggestions?
