Problem for validate password aginst one way hash in profile syste

Hi,

I'm facing problem when i try to validate a clear text password for a user

against the password stored in the Profiles System by using sample code in

the commerce server 2007 do***entation sections "How to Validate
Passwords'" 
and "How to Hash passwords". I'm using windows server 2003, so i used the 
"MD5","SHA256" ha****ng algorithms for verifying the passwords but both 
ha****ng values are not matched with password stored in profile system. It 
returns false.

Please help me..
