POSITION: Project Leader Data Warehouse
LOCATION: Mumbai, India
SPAN OF CONTROL: Works within a team of 5-7 programmers and analysts
locally and within a team of 15-20 globally.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Candidate will play a key role in the GEDW team to facilitate the
successful rollout of GEDW to all equity products and global regions.
Candidate will also assist in the consolidation of some legacy data
archives into GEDW and retirement of obsolete components.
Candidate will assist the Business Analysts team during Initiation and
Definition phases. He/she will lead in technical design, architecture,
construction, system and integration testing phases.
Candidate will lead in the preparation of Technical Specification
do***ents and System Test Plans.
Candidate will provide production sup****t whenever necessary by
addressing user queries and technical issues. Candidate will provide
tactical and strategic solutions to maximize system stability and
minimize production sup****t.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
5-7 years of technical and leader****p experience in e-Commerce
applications specifically with data warehouses and very large scale
databases
Technical skills: Oracle 9i/10G, STAR schema and dimensional modeling,
PL/SQL, Unix O/S, Shell scripts, PERL, other Unix tools
Experience in ETL tools such as AbInitio or Informatica.
Strong understanding of Data Warehouse fundamentals
Good understanding front office order/execution flows and middle office
allocation/trade flows.
Strong written and oral communication skills
Excellent analysis, design and architecture skills
Knowledge of systems development life cycle concepts and tools
