Can CS deploy using SQL Server workgroup edition

Does anyone know if there is any reason why MS Commerce Server cannot be 
deploying using the Workgroup Edition of MS SQL Server 2000?

There are hints at the MS web site that this is sup****ted, but I'm having 
trouble confirming if this is sup****ted.
