OrderService webservice SearchPurchaseOrders method

I'm having some difficulty finding any do***entation regarding the format 
for the searchClause passed as the first parameter to the method.  For 
example, I'm trying to find all PurchaseOrders that have a "New Order" as 
the PurchaseOrder.Status.
