Will pipeline components written for CS2002 work on CS2007?

Hi.  We have a C++/COM pipeline component that we wrote for CS2002.

1. Notwithstanding order schema changes (which I'm expecting there are), 
should the pipeline component work fine in CS2007?

2. I guess I should ask this, too. Are there indeed order schema changes 
from CS2002?

3. I'm debating whether to just tweak our C++/COM code to adapt to the new

order schema or create an equivalent C# component from scratch.  Is there
any 
advantage to having a C# (or any .NET language) component?  Or is it just
a 
matter of language preference?
