Can a CS install in a VM be deployed to an alternate host?

I know secondhand that there are issues building a virtual machine with SQL

Server on physical host A and then deploying that VM to physical host B 
becuase the SQL Server installation in the VM has some ties to the A's 
machine ID. Does Commerce Server 2007 have any similiar issues or is it 
possible to build a VM with a Commerce Server installation and deploy that

VM to another physical host?
