I am running Windows XP as the client, accessing dynamic re****ts on a
server within our network. I have Office 2003 as my local Office suite,
including all the main products. I have Office XP Web Components also
installed.
When I load any of the dynamic re****ts (on a site where the same dynamic
re****ts work fine if we use Terminal Services onto the main BizDesk server
machine) it comes up, starts with a message saying "Loading Office XP web
controls...Please wait" and then apart from the normal re****t header the
page is blank white. If I then view the HTML source of the partly blank
page I see that it has actually rendered much of the HTML needed for the
page. For example there is a section towards the bottom of the html
containing the form to hold the pivot table in it (this is using the
'activity by browser' re****t) - this is copied below for info.
So ?
1. Even though the docs state you need Office XP to fully open up the
dynamic re****ts with OWC10, does this mean that Office 2003 will NOT work
in this scenario ? Surely this is something that should be fixed as the
prevalence of Office 2003 continues to rise.
2. How should I debug this ?
Thanks
Nick
