Descrepency in IIS Log Analysis

by k_aqeel@[EMAIL PROTECTED] (Kashif) Apr 7, 2004 at 01:45 PM

We were using Site server to analyze the log files generated by IIS.
Recently switched our sites to Commerce Server and tried using
commerce server for the analysis. The numbers re****ted by commerce
server are quite different than the ones re****ted by Site Server. The
numbers that we need are very simple and are all preduced by just
using the IIS log. The re****t has the following columns

Number of hits, Number of requests, Number of visits, Number of users,
Average requests per visit

I understand thats these aggregates may have been defined differently
in the two products but the difference is just too big. Is there a
known problem in Commerce Server? Or am I missing something? We are
analysing the same log file and getting different numbers.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
