I have approximately 300 client computers with two domain controllers. One
of this domain controller’s acts a print server, the other as DHCP. We
have
one VLAN, multiple switching locations, some fiber backbone, one file
server,
over one thousand users, and a program called Deepfreeze on the client
computers (this resets the computer every time you turn the clients off).
I've had users complaining about performance issues. I have recommend at
least one more domain controller with DNS, segmenting the network with 3
VLANS (for three different domain controllers), and bandwidth throttling.
Does anyone have a static’s for client server ratios?
My employer will not respect my opinion enough, and will not provide
network
monitoring tools.
