Combining wired and wireless connections without a router

by =?Utf-8?B?VGltX1BvcGU=?= <TimPope@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Mar 18, 2008 at 02:19 AM

My current (wired) home network does not use a router. The internet
connection comes from my cable modem into an ethernet card on a PC I refer
to
as the server (although it is an ordinary PC) and I use a second ethernet
card on the server to connect to a hub, to which the other 4 PCs also
connect. All PCs can access the internet through the server and file
sharing
is also possible (though sometimes temperamental). I want to be able to
add
a wireless notebook to the network and have added a wireless PCI card to
my
server but I'm not sure whether I have to create a separate wireless
network
(and if so, will it be part of my existing network) or whether I can
create a
direct link between the notebook and server. Any advice will be
appreciated.
 All the PCs (including the "server") are running XP Home.
