Windows XP Issues on Mixed Network

by =?Utf-8?B?UFBN?= <PPM@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jan 7, 2008 at 03:30 PM

I have recently bought a new machine with XP and wished to network (using a

router) it with a ****table and a desktop both of which run nicely on Win
98.

The three are connected to a Linksys router and the two older machines
have
no difficulty in seeing everything on all three computers.

On the other hand, I have been unable to configure the network settings on

the XP machine to allow me to see either of the two other computers.

I have reviewed the issues that MS has listed re bridge connections etc.
but
these do not seem to apply.

Any other suggestions that might help as I am certain that many of you as
early implementors of XP technology a few years ago would have run into
the
same issues.
