I had an interview today as a trainer at an IT Academy Platinum Member
based
in the UK.
The company is very young and ambitious; due to new business they are
opening another site and want to expand rapidly.
I’ve got a couple of questions. What is the difference between a
Certified
Partner for Learning Solutions and an IT Academy? I thought the former
made
a profit, and the latter was something like a proper college.
The students are wannabees – people who want a career change and may or
may
not have absolutely any aptitude for IT. They will be taking out a loan
to
attend the courses. All the literature this place puts out quotes high
salaries, but in my experience, resetting passwords on a helldesk
doesn’t pay
very well, and that’s really the only job these people are likely to get
even
if they do pass the MCSE. Surely?
