Recertification not required

by Darrilgibson@[EMAIL PROTECTED] May 22, 2008 at 02:11 AM

Microsoft Learning sent out an email this week saying

=93In response to customer feedback, Microsoft has eliminated the
requirement to recertify, or refresh, your MCITP or MCPD certification
every three years. This is good news for you; there is no action
required to maintain the certifications you hold today.=94

They actually decided that a few months ago, but there must be some
confusion causing them to send out the email.

It is good news. When I originally certified on SQL Server 2005, the
rule was that I would have to recertity every three years or lose the
certification. While I constantly take exams as a MCT, everyone
doesn't. Once you certify on a Microsoft product, you remain
certified without the need to take additional exams.
