I have a fully functioning MN-700 basestation with WEP-64 wireless security
connected directly to a DSL modem and one desktop computer. Two laptops
connect wirelessly. I have no issues with this setup.
Recently I acquired an MN-500 which I wanted to set up in the basement as
a
wireless access point. My hope was that the MN-500, once configured
properly, would connect to the established MN-700 basestation wirelessly
so
that I could use the 4 switched ****ts on the MN-500 at a workbench in the
basement, allowing machines needing repair to connect by ethernet to those
four ****ts. I had hoped I would gain access to the home LAN as well as
the
internet this way.
Is it possible? I only see instructions on setting the MN-500 as a wired
access point for wireless devices -- this of course is not what I want to
do:
I want the MN-500 to provide wired connectivity to computers and also to
network wirelessly to the MN-700 (for DHCP addressing, NAT, and so on).
