Update:
After removing BizTalk Server, Visual Studio, their prereq's, cleaning up
SQL server DB's then reinstalling/configuring those applications,
installing
BizTalk Server SP2, and running the Setup.bat for B2B preliminary setup
(which compiles the project) I was able to add Web References to the
existing
project that I was having problems with earlier!
These issues may have been avoided if SharePoint Services would not have
been installed originally, since it requires .NET 2.0 and .NET 3.0. I
believe in order to run SharePoint and BizTalk on the same machine (or at
least use IIS functionality w/ BT) you have to install BizTalk 2004 SP2.
