I'm building a EDI solution for a customer using the Base EDI Adapter in
BizTalk 2006. I know that BTS06 R2 is supposed to have better EDI sup****t
but the customer is looking to have the solution deployed before May.
I am looking at the 810Schema.xsd located in [Install Dir]:\Program
Files\Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006\EDI\Adapter\EDI Schemas\X12\4010.
Questions
1) When I open the schema in VS2005, I do not see any of the mandatory
segments (ISA, GS, ST, SET, GE , IEA). Are these automatically added by
the
Base EDI adapter when a message is sent? If that is the case, how do I set
these values?
2) The trading partner I am working with expects to receive and send
version
4060 EDI transaction sets. The schemas included with BizTalk are version
4010. I know the EDI trans****t properties can be modified so that the
EDI envelope conforms to the desired version as described here:
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa559550.aspx
However, how do I accommodate differences in the detailed sections of the
schema?
3) The trading partner I am working with uses 810, 820, 864 and 997
(version
4060). The 820 schema is not included in the EDI Schemas directory within
the BizTalk installation directory. How would I get a copy of this schema?
I
would rather not build it by hand.
Any help you can provide will be really appreciated.
Thanks
