usinf Biztalk 2004 Receive ****t to receive message via socket

Hi,

I have a partner who is using socket to send us message. Can I use Biztalk

2004 receive ****t to accepts message directly from the remote partner and 
send them response back.

I have downloaded socket adapter sample for biztalk 2004 and installed 
Socket adapter on biztalk 2004. 

I am not sure if this can be done? If yes any suggestion would be helpful.
