MLLP question

by =?Utf-8?B?R29yZG9uIFQ=?= <GordonT@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jun 16, 2008 at 08:58 AM

Hi,

We're experiencing a problem on BT2006R2. Our interfaces which use MLLP
adapter will go into a CLOSED_WAIT state all of a sudden and then they no
longer can communicate with the sending system. We have 3 interfaces
which
share the same MLLP adapter, and when this happens it affects all of them.

Two of those interafaces have their Persistent Connection property set to
True. The other is set to False.

A Microsoft article says that the CLOSED_WAIT state can occur when the
sending system sends a close request (FIN) and the receiving system
(BizTalk)
doesn't respond with an ACK and FIN of its own. The client is expecting
this. So, the BizTalk MLLP socket goes into a 'passive closed' state. It

can't receive any more data, but it can send data. This could happen if
one
instance among all threads and processes of the socket is in the passive
closed state.

This is the behavior that we are seeing.

Does anyone know what might be causing this? Would having the Persistent
Connection set to True be the cause of this?

Thanks in advance,
Gordon
