"ping" is not recognized . . .

by =?Utf-8?B?R2Vvcmdl?= <George@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jun 9, 2008 at 02:16 PM

Situation: I have Linksys Wireless-B Adapter that seems to be working okay.
I
know router is working ok for access to internet (via other computers on
net). I can't access internet thru the linksys adapter I am following
troubleshooting procedure that calls for cmds "ping" and "ipconfig" but I
get
this response:
"'ping' is not recognised as an internal or external command, ...". I
suspect corrupted Win XP files. I can't locate my XP update disc (ongoing

home remodeling). I'm not even sure I am in the right discussion group.
SOOoooo---I'd sure appreciate some suggestions on how to accomplish my
objective "access to internet". Thanks!!!
