Remember, this is a newsgroup for DOS versions of the BASIC programming
language NOT for DOS questions per se so if it can't be done in BASIC,
we'd answer that it can't be done.  If you want answers about DOS in 
general,
you'd really have to go to a DOS newsgroup for better answers.
