Don't listen to them: there is a way, if you have a working TCP/IP
connected 
DOS-box (LAN or dialup, don't care:P )

What you want is simply "Lynx" which used to be for Linux console, but, 
afaik, has been ****ted and works perfectly under DOS. The "problems" that 
arise, is limitations of DOS rather than Lynx.
