I have a stager running Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server with
Application Center SP2 installed. When I upgrade to Windows Server 2003
Enterprise Edition w/SP1, I get access errors in AppCenter; ie, clicking
on
Applications throws "Could not load the applications. The download of the
specified resourse failed. (0x800C0008)"
I then installed the Windows Server 2003 Post-upgrade Process patch
described in the AC 2000 SP2 Release Notes (W2003SrvPostUpgrade.bat). It
throws an error saying:
"The upgrade patch cannot be installed by the Windows Installer service
because the program to be upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade patch
may
update a different version of the program. Verify that the program to be
upgraded exists on your computer and that you have the correct upgrade
patch.
Product: Microsoft Application Center 2000 SP2 - Update
'{CBFD6B3E-ED73-4B2F-B457-F1EF1C472B5E}' could not be installed. Error
code
1642. Additional information is available in the log file."
AppCenter has the same access errors.
I then installed the QFE891330 patch. AppCenter has the same access
errors.
Any help would be appreciated as this is holding up our move to Windows
Server 2003.
