Please follow the steps below to resolve the problem.
Modify the SQLPath in the registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL
Server\80\Tools\ClientSetup
Added an extra character to SQLPath = C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL
Server\80\Tools1
Due to a SQL bug, one character is removed from the end of the SQLPath
each
time MSDE SP3a is installed on a machine already running MSDE SP4.
