When PowerPoint is started a dialog is displayed. The title is “Data
Assistant”. The text is “Either Microsoft Office PowerPoint or
Microsoft
Office Excel is not installed.” Excel 2007 does not display this dialog
when
started.
Running Microsoft Office Diagnostics does not identify any problems.
Uninstalling PowerPoint and then re-installing does not have any effect on
this message.
Any one know what needs to be done to resolve this issue?
