The company I work for wants to look at the possibility of using .msi files
and group policies to install applications to multiple pc in our
organization. With testing we got a group policy created that installed a
test application to a hand full of computers. We are having problems
figuring out how to update that software or even remove it. I've been
looking for days for good do***entation that covers the proper procedure
for
install, upgrading and remove application using group policies and .msi
file,
but I'm finding nothing. When we tried to remove it, the program is
staying
on the computers but when you try to click the icon it tries to re-install
the program and then errors saying the setup.msi file is invalid.
Any information you can send about this process would be great, and any
Ideas how to get this test software off the computers would also be
appreciated.
