I am trying to run my copy of Age of Empires 2 onto my new iMac. I am
running Windows XP SP2 using boot camp. I have a ATI Radeon HD 2600 PRO
video card - and I get a message saying:
"Could not initialize graphics system. Make sure that your video card and
driver are compatible with DirectDraw."
I have other games that work running XP on boot camp, but I did not know
if
there was a patch or an update that I could use. I installed DirectX 9,
and
when I try and install DirectX 6 off of the game disc, it says that it is
already done - but I do not believe DirectX is the issue.
If anyone can help me figure out how to run this that would be great.
Searching the web has produced no answers for me.
