How to add attribute on existing object ?

by "Frédéric Le Bas" <flebas@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jun 17, 2008 at 05:25 PM

Hello,

I am trying to install Exchange Server 2007.
I have upgraded AD to Windows server 2003 functionnal level. ExchangeBPA
tells everything is OK.
Setup checks are OK but when I start install, I get a message :

[17/06/2008 16:34:43] [1] [ERROR] Active Directory operation failed on
srv1.mydomain.local. The object 'CN=All Global Address Lists,CN=Address
Lists Container,CN=MYDOMAIN,CN=Microsoft
Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=mydomain,DC=local' already
exists.
[17/06/2008 16:34:43] [1] [ERROR] Object exists.

I have looked for similar problems and found something similar at KB
936907.
The problem is : there is no "pur****tedSearch" attribute on the object
described above.
I have checked on other XCH installations and this attribute is present,
but
not set.

How can I add an attribute to an existing object ?
ADSI only allow to change existing attributes, and LDP gives error
messages.
Can I ex****t object with LDIFDE, delete it with ADSIEdit, and im****t
modified object ?

Thanks,

Frederic
