An ActiveX control has been installed and registered on a computer by the
local computer's administrative user using the installer for the ActiveX
control.
The ActiveX control is used in both desktop applications (where everything
always works okay) and within web pages (where the problems occur for
certian
users).
When a domain user (which is not a local user of the PC) logs onto the PC
and attempts to browse to the web page containing the ActiveX control, an
"Object doesn't sup****t property or method" error occurs on the web page.
If this same domain user is manually added to the PC local administrator
group and then attempts to access the web page again, the "Security
Warning"
dialog appears asking if you want to install the ActiveX control.
Everything works properly on the web page when one of the PC's own local
users (admin or non-admin) attempt to access the web page. There's no
"Security Warning" dialog and no "Object doesn't sup****t property or
method"
error.
How can I get domain users that are not part of the PC's list of local
users
to access the web page without getting one of these two errors / prompts?
Thank you.
