Hello -,
Please describe more detailed what happens and how many dc's you have now
up and running. If i understand you correct, the DC which with the new
installed
was replicating is died during the replication process.
If you have one or more DC's running, make sure with dcdiag, netdiag and
repadmin /showreps, that between them all is fine.
Then disconnect the new built one from the domain and try to demote it, if
it does not work reinstall it and promote it again. Before check on all
other
DC's that no entries exist from the new one.
