Edit the Registry to Disable Warning in Runtime Version

by =?Utf-8?B?RWthMTYxOA==?= <Eka1618@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jul 7, 2008 at 05:47 AM

Hello,

I am in the process of rolling out my DB. Several employees will only be
given the Runtime version for 2007. A security warning for the Macros and
VB
pop's up when they try to open the file. They do not have the option to
turn
it off. I did not want to have the settings in the DB to enable all macros
no
matter what.

I have gone into the registry and create a new key called Security, with a

new DWORD and it settings are decimal with a value of 1. This is located
in
the Acess file for microsoft- in HKEY_CURRENT_USER.

We have created a package and users have downloaded the DB program into
Program Files which is where the shortcut on the desktop links to.

This is the first time I have rolled out a DB. I am not sure how the
registry key works so I am not sure if we sould be putting this in a
different spot like HKEY_USERS or something.

If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!
