ActiveX & Access doesn't seem to like each other

by =?Utf-8?B?c2lsbGljb24=?= <sillicon@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jun 17, 2008 at 12:08 PM

I have already wasted a lot of time on this nasty problem:
Running Access 2007 on Vista Enterprise (all up to date) I get the
following
message when I try to add an ActiveX control/class to a form:

The operation on the OLE object failed
The OLE server may not be registered
To register the OLE server, reinstall it.

The Triedit.dll solution doesn’t apply to Vista and all other requests
for
help concerning this problem were negative.
But I saw something weird, the Trust Center Settings for Access lacks the
“ActiveX settings” option that is visible on the settings of Word or
Excel.
So I removed and reinstalled Office but that didn’t solve the problem,
so if
anyone has another idea I’d be much obliged.
