How to move design master from 1 system to another

I'm using internet replication with replication manager 4.0
in the dropbox are 100+ design masters.

i'm planning to move all design masters from the current server ( 85.x.x.x
) 
to an new faster server ( example.example.com )

after some googling i found out it's possible to give design master status

to a replica member, so i'm planning to put a replica on the new server,
and 
give design master from old server to the new server.
my question is if all the other replica's can "see" there is a new design 
master and adjust it's address to the new design master so i can phase out

the old server
