Newbie Should I use replication

by =?Utf-8?B?Sm9lUQ==?= <JoeQ@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Dec 5, 2007 at 03:07 PM

I have an Access application that is being used by a large organization
that
has offices in a couple of states. The offices are connected by a T1 line.

The Access Application is split in a frontend/backend database. The code
and
forms are in the front end and data only in the backend. The backend has
grown quite large 300 - 400 megabytes. Response time is slow from the
remote
sites to the server down the T1 line where the backend is located.

Should I use replication on the backend, giving each office their own
local
replica?

I have also read that perhaps hosting the Access app on Windows Terminal
Services, since all offices are constantly connected might be a better
solution?

I have no experience with either of these solutions and I would appreciate

someone who does have experience to express their thoughts on this issue.

Many Thanks for taking the time to comment.

Joe
