Trap ODBC errors for bound forms

by "Pat Hartman" <please no email@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Oct 26, 2007 at 02:49 PM

I have found tons of references for trapping errors (and they all use
essentially the same code) but nothing seems to work for a bound form. I
have tried a variety of events. The error seems to be trapped by the form

level Error event but the error collection doesn't contain a description
of
the error that is displayed following my error message.

I did find one post that said it is simply not possible but it was old.
My
client is using A2003 and linked SQL 2005 tables.

If this issue has been fixed for A2007, I may be able to talk them into
upgrading.

If I get a definitive - you can't get there from here response, I'll add
my
own code to attempt to forestall the error entirely rather than trapping
it
which is more efficient.
