So I've worked on this database that I plan to share with several people in
the office but for now am testing it on one other workstation...I have
split
it into a FE & BE. The BE is on a shared network drive that we can both
access and create, save etc....then I loaded a FE on her compter and
mine...
I've linked the tables from the FE to the BE using UNC not mapping. I've
made sure that the sharing box is checked and I've created a dummy folder
that will stay open from FE to BE upon opening the database. But still we
both can not be in it at the same time. Everytime we try one gets in the
other gets the message "could not save. Currently locked by another
user."
and won't allow entry into the database?
I feel I've tried everything I can think of and am getting very
frustrated.
Any ideas on what else I might be doing wrong? I have a feeling it's a
small
thing I'm just overlooking??
