multiple databases

by "mav51 via AccessMonster.com" <u40799@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Feb 10, 2008 at 03:54 PM

Hi there, I'm just wondering if I'm on the right track here. I'm in a
networked environment that has a multi-user Access database used for time-
entry that has usernames/passwords. I want to create a second database,
also
multiuser, to manage workorders. The two database are unrelated and I'd
rather not try combining them.
My question is this, as there would be 2 different .mdw file with
different
username's/passwords/permissions if I include a command-line switch to
select
the .mdw for the second database in the shortcut will the connection to
the
first .mdw reassert itself once the second database is closed? Are there
any
potential problems with this approach?

Thanks all,
Michael Girard
