I have a front end database (Jobs request.mde) sitting on a shared drive
accessible to everyone, it allows users to create a new project and then
sends us an email to say a new project has been put on and tells us the
project number, which is automatically generated.... so far so good!
(It is set up to allow multi users)
When we go onto our front-end (Comms DB) version which is slightly
different
there is no project on the system. I have checked both front-ends and they
both point to the same back-end tables, so I am at a loss. It must be
reading
from the same back-end to get the number because when we add a new project
from our end the auto sequence of numbers is lost and the number on the
original email about the new project added is missing altogether.
But this seems to ad-hoc as one person has put two projects on but only
one
was actually created on the database table, the other one just didn't
appear
although the auto sequence number acted as thou both were put on, if you
know
what I mean.
Any ideas/advice would be appreciated
