MS Access on LAN

by "Ersinist@[EMAIL PROTECTED] " <Ersinist@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jan 26, 2008 at 02:42 AM

Hi mates,

sorry for taking your time, I would like to ask the following
question:

I have created an Access database for keeping trucks of the items in
our inventory and I want to use this database on the LAN of our
company. I have created three user accounts to access the database.
Each user account has its own permissions. Not more than one user is
going to update data on the database at the same time.

The problem is that when I try to open/run the database on another
computer on LAN, the database starts running without asking for a user
name and password. All Computers have MS Access, NTFS file system and
XP. I want to use a PC as a server so that other clients can access
the database on this server and can update the records or can enter
new records in accordance with their permissions. There will be only
three or four users running this database on the network

How can I do that?

All answers related to the topic are welcome, thanks in advance!

Ersin
