Can't make a shared database

by =?Utf-8?B?QmV0b1dpbmc=?= <BetoWing@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jan 19, 2008 at 01:34 PM

This is my first attempt at sharing. I have Access 2003 installed on a
laptop and on a desktop with a wireless connection. My application is on
the
laptop, and I have it set to shared and with no locks and record level
locking off.

When I attempt to open the application from the desktop, if the app is
already open on the laptop, I get "could not lock file" If I close the
app
on the laptop, I get "database is read only.

I have read tons of help files, but to no avail. Thanks for any help.
