'Wait' message in a Macro

by =?Utf-8?B?R2x5bm4=?= <Glynn@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jul 23, 2008 at 11:47 PM

Thank you for your responses to my 'Wait message' question July17.

I am however still having a promble in applying the sample in Article ID:
96989 to my particlar situation.

Again - When I use the 'Back Up DataBase' command (drawn from the Access
Customize/Commands/File facility) the back up works fine, but in the
process
the screen blanks for an extended period of time, provoking some of my
'mad bomber' users to frantically press 'Esc' etc, on the assumption that
the program has stalled.

The sample Macro (in 96989) opens a popup form with the 'Please Wait'
label,
and then Repaints, before moving onto the 'action' part of the macro.
In this action section I have tried the command 'Run Command' with the
subaction 'Backup', but it fails. Similarly I have tried 'CopyDatabase',
which likewise fails.

How do I get the Macro to execute the same backing up process as the 'Back

Up Database' command.

Appreciate your further help.
