I cannot imagine why you want the backcolor to change but then don't want
to
see what has been selected in the combobox, but what you need to do, I
guess,
is set the ForeColor the same as the backcolor, and then in the OnEnter
event
of the combobox, set the forecolor and backcolor baxk to the default of
black
and white so that you can see to make a new color selection.
