Intro
- Good morning students. My Name is James and these are my fellow
classmates Franklin, Michael and Byron.
- I would like to know your names now so we'll go around the
class
and everyone say their names ok.
- How many students here know how to tell time?
- What do you think time is used for? (Call on a couple of
students)
- Why do you think time is im****tant? (Call on a couple of
students)
- Now I would like everyone to take a clock.
- Write a certain time in the board and tell a student to turn
the
clock to that time.
- Split the students up into two groups and give them each three
times to put into their clocks.
Objective: SWBAT identify the time of the day.
Method:
1) Talking about different times and what it means
- Time tells when to play
- Time tells when sesame place opens
- Time tells when chucky cheeses opens
2) Give out clocks and practice telling time
3) Talk about what happens at different times
- At 8:00am school starts
- At 6:30pm SpongeBob comes on
Evaluation:
- What two letters represent the morning?
- What time of day is the afternoon?
- What time of the day is the night?
